Ms. Carla Ramsdell is the founder of AppalFRESH and helps coordinate Community FEaST every year. AppalFRESH is a collaborative group with members all across campus. The group is trans-disciplinary and has members involved in the food research and outreach area from disciplines like the sciences, business, sustainable development, sustainable technology, psychology, and university college. Members of the group share their work and discuss ways to minimize waste, maximize local food sourcing, and talk about the importance of a sustainable food system. The department would like to congratulate AppalFRESH on their recent acceptance to the 2019 Commffest Global Community Film Festival where the 2018 Community FEaST film will be playing.
