We would like to welcome to the department a new lecturer, Dr. Wijayaratne. Born in Sri Lanka, the underlying fabric of the logic behind nature inspired him to become passionate about physics. He is excited to share how he studies nature through his research and teaching here in the department. Dr. Wijayaratne obtained his PhD in experimental condensed matter physics from the University of Virginia. His research extends to find the electronic structures of materials to better understand their nature. In doing so, we can build more efficient devices.
