First Year Seminar Takes On The ASU Research Farm

On Thursday the first year seminar class "Know Watts Cooking, The Physics of Energy Efficient Cooking" took a field trip to study the embodied energy of our food before it arrives in our home for cooking! This included transportation energy and the differing greenhouse gas emissions for various food sources, such as beef vs. vegetable proteins.

This was a beautiful place and a great way to learn - hopefully it helped ease some end-of-the-semester stress for these first year students!
